Our case for support

A call to build the House of the Lord

Nehemiah 2:18 – “Let us rise and build, so they strengthen their hands for the good work.”

Our Need

The international labor market opened up the Middle East since the 1950s, particularly with the discovery of oil and natural gas and the subsequent economic boom, it has become a destination of choice for skilled foreign workers.

Global migration has led to the expansion of expatriates churches around the world.1 The influx of Christian migrant workers along with their families created a need to have a common place of worship, a place for all the believers to exercise their faith and freely worship God.

According to the 2024 population report, expatriates in Qatar is approximately at 88.4% of the population.  About 15.4 %  are Christians, mainly made up of diverse mix of Asian, European, Africans, North and South American foreign workers. An estimated 17,056 of Christian community are members of Evangelical Alliance Churches Qatar. A community of believers needing a place for the continuing work of the great commission.

Help Us Help Them

Meet Eunice

A 10-year old Christian gulfie. Eunice was born and raised in Qatar by her expatriate parents. His dad, Eric is an architect and her mom, Mylene used to work as a secretary. Eunice loves to sing and her favorite worship song is Goodness of God. She regularly attends her youth study group called MUJ (Moving Up for Jesus), along with 27 other kids aged 9-11, whose Filipino parents are all expats. Currently, she goes to a private residential villa every Friday for the church service, while she waits for the construction of the ECAQ Worship Center, where she would meet other kids her age who love and will sing for Jesus.

Meet Bro. Jobz

Eleven years and counting, Bro. Jobz, along with his family experienced the challenge of frequent relocations of their house church (residential villas) for their Friday Services to meet and fellowship with his church brethren in   Jesus First Christian Ministries. The conscious effort of not disturbing the neighbors in a residential community through the installation of sound-proof panels in the church halls, orderly and almost muted departure from the church at the end of their services and distant parking of his car, have become a way of life for him. Bro. Jobz has been praying for a permanent place to exercise his faith and believes that it will soon come to pass. He also prays for a public transport for the believers to easily access and partake in the fellowship of the believers in one place.

Meet Pastor Vil

Pastor Vil was an institution in the Christian community in Doha. He was the overseer of one of the pioneering churches Qatar, Qatar International Christian Ministry (QICM).  A civil engineer by profession in the oil and gas industry, he had the privilege of witnessing Qatar’s unprecedented economic boom and the formation of the Body of Christ in 2005. He volunteered as ECAQ’s Technical Committee Head, overseeing the initial design and planning of the Worship Center. He is now with the Lord in his permanent home. His fervent desire to have a place of worship for believers remains in the hearts of his co-workers in the vineyard of the Lord Jesus Christ till this day.

Our provision

Join us in prayer and faith in action in building a place where all believers of Jesus Christ converge

In one place, one heart, one spirit, one mind and in one Great Commission. Standing, seating, kneeling, or prostrate before God in worship, raising voices to praise the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. One place to hear the Word that gives life and sets captives free. A home where we fellowship with the brethren, a place we call the House of God.
